Residential Services- The Schoharie County ARC Residential Services Program offers a variety of residential alternatives in community based settings. 
  • Individualized Residential Alternatives: designed to meet individualized levels of support based upon identified needs are available, with staff support between 2 hours per week to 24 hours per-day. These residences are located in homes and apartments located in the villages of Cobleskill, Richmondville and Middleburgh.

  • Intermediate Care Facility- is a specialized home for up to 14 individuals. This residence offers more intense medical and daily living support for individuals with identified needs. Located in the village of Cobleskill, residents of the ICF have easy access to community and recreational events, village services, and immediate medical services. 

  • Family Care Program- For families seeking a smaller, more family-like environment, the Residential program offers a Family Care Program. This program is designed to support individuals in an existing family's home. Schoharie County ARC currently supports three Family Care Homes in Schoharie County.

  • Residential Habilitation Services- for individuals established in their own home, or waiting for residential opportunity, the Schoharie County ARC offers in home residential habilitation services. Residential Habilitation Services are designed to provide an individual support in meeting personal goals in their home and community. These services are provided by trained staff that will work with the individual in their residence, or in the community.

  • Community Residences - are staffed around the clock to provide supervision, support and training.

  • Supported Apartments - offers community living with greater independence. 

  • Supervised Individual Residential Alternatives (IRA)- Offer 24- hour support in a home environment. Residential habilitation services, focus on the areas of activities of daily living including: recreational networking, health and medication support, and financial management.  Supervised IRA’s usually accommodate  3- 10 people, depending on the location.

  • Supported Individual Residential Alternative - offers a minimum of 2 hours of support per week, up to 23 hours of support per day. Staff provide support in developing community network of supports with a focus on independent living.

  • Free Standing Respite Center- provides individuals and families/care givers opportunities for weekend respite out of the home. The Center is located in the Village of Cobleskill and is open Friday afternoon through Monday morning. In addition to overnight accommodations, the Center provides individualized support with daily living skills, medication administration and recreation. 

  • Family Support Services- is a program designed to provide support to individuals with mental retardation/developmental disabilities, their families and caregivers. This program offers recreation, respite and support services. 

  • Friendship Club- is a weekly recreation club for adults that meets from weekly from September through June. The program offers recreational and socialization activities in a community setting one evening each week. For individuals located on the bus route, transportation is available to and from meeting site.
